How Kanon is paid

KANON currently earns no commission from either venue. No affiliate program is live, and no link on this site carries a referral code.

Kanon compares the price of the same contract on two venues. That comparison is the entire product, and it is only worth something if nothing about how we are paid can bend it. This page states the rules we hold ourselves to, so they can be checked rather than trusted.

Three rules

Both venues, or neither

If Kanon ever earns a commission, it earns one from Polymarket and from Kalshi, or from neither. We will not be paid by one of the two venues we compare. A comparison funded by one side is an advertisement wearing a table's clothes.

Every page that carries a venue link says so

Where a commission applies, the page carrying the link states it next to the link — not in a footer, not on a separate page, not in the terms. If you can see the button, you can see how we are paid for it.

What we earn never changes what you see

The board is ordered by how relevant a market is to a reader — how much has traded, how deep the book is, and how soon it settles. It is not ordered by the model's disagreement with the market, because we measured that ranking and it surfaces our own errors. And it is not ordered, tie-broken, filtered or worded by what any venue pays.

This one is enforced in the code rather than by intention. The module that decides what the board shows has no access to the module that would know which venue is monetised, and a test fails the build if that ever stops being true. The rule that matters is the one that cannot quietly stop being followed.

What Kanon does not do

How Kanon makes money

A paid subscription, for readers who want a market watched and to be emailed when it moves. The board itself, the probability readout, the cross-venue comparison and the accuracy record are free and stay free. If a commission is ever added, it is a second line, held to the three rules above.

If you think a page breaks these rules

Write to us and say which page. The rules are only worth publishing if someone can hold them to them.
